The Chardonnay DOC 2025 from Ritterhof originates from the sun-drenched vineyards along South Tyrol’s renowned Wine Road. The grapes are grown in the Bassa Atesina and Oltradige areas, where gravelly limestone soils and elevations of around 400 to 450 metres provide ideal conditions for cultivating Chardonnay. Following a careful harvest, the grapes are gently processed and fermented under controlled temperatures. The wine then matures on its fine lees in stainless steel tanks, helping to preserve its freshness, elegance and varietal character. This South Tyrolean Chardonnay reflects the unique balance between Alpine freshness and Mediterranean influences. Its approachable and versatile style makes it an excellent choice as an aperitif as well as a companion to light starters, fish dishes and white meats. In the glass, it displays a bright straw-yellow colour with subtle green reflections. The bouquet reveals ripe fruit aromas complemented by delicate exotic notes. On the palate, the wine is fresh, balanced and lively, offering an elegant texture and a harmonious structure that leads to a clean and persistent finish.
