The Ritterhof Gewürztraminer DOC Auratus 2025 is an aromatic white wine from Alto Adige, with origins closely linked to Tramin on the South Tyrolean Wine Road. The vines grow in a sunny site between 320 and 400 metres above sea level, on gravelly clay soils and in a climate that encourages full aromatic ripeness in the grapes. For this Gewürztraminer, the bunches are selected and harvested by hand. Before pressing, the fully ripe grapes undergo a short cold maceration; the wine then matures on the fine lees, gaining additional fullness and expression. In the glass, Auratus shows a straw-yellow colour with green reflections. The bouquet is intense and typical of Gewürztraminer: rose, geranium and lychee combine with delicate spicy notes reminiscent of cinnamon and cloves. On the palate, the wine is full, spicy and juicy, with a firm body and elegant structure.
