The Lagrein DOC 2025 from Cantina Kurtatsch reflects the authentic character of one of South Tyrol’s historic grape varieties. Made exclusively from Lagrein grapes grown in sunny vineyards, the wine benefits from warm daytime temperatures and cool nights, conditions that support balanced ripening while preserving freshness and aromatic precision. This results in a wine with harmony, clarity and strong varietal character. In the cellar, careful handling of the grapes is essential to preserve the distinctive identity of Lagrein. The winemaking approach focuses on balancing structure, freshness and fruit expression, allowing the grape variety to remain at the centre of the wine’s personality. In the glass, it reveals a deep ruby red colour with violet reflections. The bouquet opens with aromas of dark berries, ripe cherries and subtle spicy notes. On the palate, the wine is smooth and juicy, supported by soft tannins and lively freshness. The finish is harmonious, fruit-driven and delicately spicy.
