Donnafugata Anthilia 2025 is a Sicilian white wine from the south-western part of the island. Lucido, also known as Catarratto, forms the main component of the blend, complemented by other native and international white grape varieties. The grapes come from the estate in the Contessa Entellina area as well as from other particularly well-suited vineyard sites. The predominantly hilly vineyards are situated at approximately 200 to 400 metres above sea level and are characterised by clay soils, mild winters and dry, windy summers. Following gentle pressing, the must undergoes temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel. The wine then matures for at least two months in tank and for approximately another two months in bottle. Its fresh and versatile style makes it an excellent companion to appetisers, raw or fried fish, vegetable dishes, fresh cheeses and white meats. In the glass, Anthilia 2025 displays a straw-yellow colour. The bouquet combines citrus fruits and white-fleshed fruit with delicate floral notes. On the palate, it is fruity, clean and lively, supported by pronounced freshness and a pleasantly savoury, mineral character.
