The Pinot Noir Hausmannhof 2023 from Haderburg originates from vineyards above Salurn in southern South Tyrol. The vines grow at approximately 400 metres above sea level on southwest-facing slopes, characterised by weathered clay-rich soils. The sunny hillside location provides favourable conditions for the ripening of Pinot Noir grapes, contributing to the wine's distinctive character.
The family-run Haderburg estate cultivates its vineyards according to biodynamic principles. This organically produced wine combines nature-conscious viticulture with careful winemaking. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by twelve months of ageing in used barriques. This gentle approach preserves the wine's fruit character while adding subtle oak nuances.
In the glass, the Pinot Noir displays a brilliant ruby-red colour. The bouquet reveals aromas of blackberries and cherries, complemented by spicy oak notes and delicate toasted nuances. On the palate, it is juicy and harmonious, with soft tannins, elegant fruit and a pleasantly balanced finish.
