The Pinot Noir DOC Vigna Oberhof 2020 from the
Neustift Monastery Winery is an elegant red wine from the Eisack Valley, originating from the
single vineyard “Oberhof” near Brixen. The vineyards are located at around 600 meters above sea level and are characterized by mineral-rich glacial soils. The cool climate, with significant day-night temperature variations, promotes slow ripening, giving the wine freshness, finesse and aromatic precision.
Pinot Noir is one of the most refined and complex grape varieties, known for its elegance, delicate fruit and balanced structure. In the Eisack Valley, it expresses a particularly fine and mineral style.
After hand harvesting, the grapes are gently processed and fermented at controlled temperatures. The wine is then a
ged for an extended period in wooden casks and further refined in bottle, developing additional depth and complexity.
In the glass, it shows a clear ruby red color. On the nose, aromas of red berries, cherry and delicate spice emerge. On the palate, it is elegant and harmonious, with silky tannins, fresh acidity and a long, finely structured finish.
