H. Rottensteiner Blauburgunder DOC 2025 is a classic South Tyrolean red wine with generous fruit and an approachable, harmonious character. The grapes come from vineyards on the slopes around Bolzano, where Blauburgunder has been cultivated for around 150 years. This demanding grape variety responds sensitively to site and yield and requires particular care both in the vineyard and during winemaking. After fermentation in stainless steel, the wine is matured in large wooden casks. This ageing method supports the development of its varietal character without overshadowing the fruit. The result is a balanced red wine that combines the elegant side of Blauburgunder with pleasant fullness. In the glass, it shows a clear, intense red colour. The bouquet is dominated by sour cherry and ripe red fruit. On the palate, it is full-bodied, fruit-driven and harmonious, with a smooth structure and a pleasantly juicy overall character.
