Pinot Blanc DOC Platt & Riegl
The Pinot Blanc DOC Platt & Riegl 2025 from Girlan Winery comes from selected vineyards in the Überetsch area, situated at 450 to 550 metres above sea level. These well-ventilated sites extend across different soil types: volcanic porphyry soils dominate on the eastern side, while calcareous clay soils are found on the western side. This combination contributes to the wine’s distinctive character. The grapes are harvested by hand and transported to the winery in small containers. After whole-cluster pressing, the must is clarified by natural sedimentation. Fermentation takes place partly in stainless steel tanks and partly in large wooden casks. The wine then matures for seven months on the fine lees. Malolactic fermentation also takes place in selected casks. In the glass, it appears clear and fresh. The aromatic profile is fine and restrained, with fruity accents and mineral nuances. On the palate, it is delicate, fresh and full, with a harmonious structure and balanced body.
