The Pinot Noir DOC Selection Turmhof 2024 from Tiefenbrunner is an elegant South Tyrolean red wine sourced from selected vineyard sites. The vineyards lie at elevations ranging from around 400 to 980 metres and are located in areas including Völser Aicha, Graun, Penon, Mazon, Pinzon and Glen. The varied soils, composed of dolomite, clay, sand and porphyry, contribute to the wine’s complexity, precision and distinctive character.
The wine is made from 100% Pinot Noir. Ageing takes place in both barriques and large wooden casks, giving the wine structure and depth while preserving its refined fruit and elegance. It pairs particularly well with rabbit, lamb, game, game birds and hard cheeses.
In the glass, it shows a ruby-red colour with garnet highlights. The nose reveals delicate aromas of blackberry, raspberry and cherry. On the palate, it is powerful yet balanced, with a soft, full-bodied texture, fine elegance and a harmonious finish.
