The Tiefenbrunner Chardonnay DOC Selection Turmhof 2024 comes from selected vineyards in the south of South Tyrol. The vineyards are situated at elevations between 210 and 650 metres and are spread across sites around Penon, Entiklar, Margreid and Kurtinig. Depending on the location, the wine’s origin is shaped by calcareous dolomite soils, limestone gravel from moraine deposits and sandy, calcareous alluvial soils. The Turmhof Chardonnay is made exclusively from Chardonnay. Vinification takes place in large wooden casks and concrete tanks. Part of the wine is matured in oak, helping to enhance its structure and elegance. This Chardonnay is a versatile food companion, pairing well with light starters, fish and seafood as well as poultry and white meats. In the glass, the 2024 vintage shows a bright pale yellow colour. The nose offers balanced aromas of pineapple and banana. On the palate, the wine is distinctive and well structured, combining power with elegance. A pleasantly saline note adds further tension and contributes to a clear, expressive overall impression.
