The Sorentberg Riesling Rebell 2025 is a Mosel Riesling born from the distinctive wine project of Ivan Giovanett and Tobias Treis. The two winemakers revived the long-abandoned Sorentberg vineyard and founded the estate together. Grapes for Rebell come from selected Mosel vineyards with red, blue and grey slate as well as limestone-rich Wissenbach slate. During vinification, half of the wine undergoes spontaneous fermentation and the other half controlled fermentation. It then matures for five months on the lees in stainless steel, keeping fruit and freshness at the forefront. In the glass, it displays a straw-yellow colour. The bouquet is characterised by ripe fruit with distinctive notes of apple and pear. On the palate, the fruit-driven character combines with elegant, balanced acidity, resulting in a fresh and harmonious Riesling.
