The Sauvignon DOC Lafóa 2024 from Colterenzio Winery is one of Alto Adige’s great Sauvignon Blancs, beautifully showcasing the precision and expressive character of this grape variety in an alpine environment. The grapes come from selected vineyards around Girlan and Appiano, where elevation, cool nights and mineral-rich soils create ideal conditions for a complex Sauvignon Blanc. In Alto Adige, the grape develops a particularly elegant style, combining intense aromatics, vibrant freshness and refined mineral tension with remarkable finesse. The significant temperature differences between day and night help create the aromatic precision for which Alto Adige Sauvignon Blanc is internationally renowned.

The Lafóa line represents the flagship range of Colterenzio Winery, crafted from selected vineyard sites and vinified with exceptional care. Since its introduction, Lafóa has become one of the winery’s defining collections, known for quality, strong territorial identity and ageing potential. Partial ageing in oak and on fine lees adds depth and structure while preserving Sauvignon Blanc’s signature freshness.

In the glass, the wine displays a bright straw-yellow colour with greenish reflections. The bouquet reveals intense aromas of elderflower, gooseberry, ripe grapefruit and exotic fruit, accompanied by delicate herbal notes and mineral nuances. On the palate, the Sauvignon Blanc is powerful yet precise, with lively freshness, refined creaminess and a long, elegant finish.
