Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Amore Magia
Amore e Magia 2020 is a Brunello di Montalcino DOCG made exclusively from Sangiovese. The grapes come from the southeastern side of Montalcino, in the Castelnuovo dell’Abate area. Here, the vineyards grow on oceanic marl soils rich in clay and limestone. Amore e Magia was first produced in 2008 as a Rosso di Montalcino and has carried the Brunello di Montalcino DOCG designation since the 2015 vintage. The grapes are harvested by hand. Fermentation takes place for 20–25 days in large open-top casks: open pump-overs are used during the first stage, while the final part is carried out using an infusion technique. The wine then matures for 36 months in large casks, followed by a further two months in concrete tanks. In the glass, it displays an intense ruby-red colour. The aroma combines intense notes of red orange with fresh Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, it is rich, juicy and dynamic, with a structure that is both compact and slender, accompanied by pronounced minerality.
