The Kitz Red 2025 from Hans Rottensteiner is a modern South Tyrolean cuvée that combines the freshness of Vernatsch with the strength of Lagrein and the fullness of Merlot. In the glass, it shows a clear, bright ruby-red colour and offers a fresh, fruit-driven bouquet. The nose reveals aromas of red berries, violet and a delicate hint of bitter almond. On the palate, Kitz Rot is dry, rounded and harmonious, with a pleasing balance of fruit, structure and soft tannins. Lagrein adds depth and spice, while Merlot contributes fullness and suppleness. Vernatsch brings lightness and an inviting freshness. The cuvée is matured predominantly in stainless steel to preserve its fruit and clarity. Kitz Rot is a versatile food companion, pairing particularly well with pasta, white meats, cold cuts or cheese, and represents a modern, authentic expression of South Tyrolean drinking pleasure.
