Cabernet Sauvignon DOC
The Cabernet Sauvignon DOC 2024 from Cantina Tramin is a characterful red wine from Alto Adige, made exclusively from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. The grapes come from vineyards situated between 250 and 350 metres above sea level. Calcareous, clay and gravel soils, combined with pronounced temperature differences between warm days and cool nights, shape the vineyard conditions. After harvest, the grapes are destemmed and fermented at a controlled temperature in concrete tanks, where malolactic fermentation also takes place. The wine then matures in large oak casks. This traditional winemaking approach highlights the intense and multifaceted character of Cabernet Sauvignon. In the glass, the wine ranges from garnet red to deep garnet. The bouquet reveals red berries accompanied by spicy nuances. On the palate, it is full-bodied, with notes of blackcurrant, dried fruit and chocolate, complemented by hints of green pepper and cedarwood.
