The Cabernet Riserva Turmfeld 2022 from St. Pauls Winery is a powerful South Tyrolean red wine that impresses with its expressive personality, intense aromas and remarkable depth. It originates from the sun-drenched vineyards surrounding Missian and St. Pauls near Eppan. Particularly influential is the hill near the Church of St. Apollonia, which gives this wine its distinctive character. The approximately 20-year-old vines grow on steep, sun-exposed slopes at around 350 metres above sea level. Clay-rich soils and warm conditions encourage the development of concentrated grapes. Following slow, temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine matures in wooden barrels and tonneaux. As a Riserva, it undergoes an extended maturation period, enhancing its complex structure and refined character. In the glass, it displays a deep ruby-red colour. Its multifaceted bouquet combines aromas of blackcurrants, white pepper, dried fruit and delicate chocolate notes. On the palate, it is full-bodied and powerful, with well-integrated, structured tannins and a juicy texture. A distinctive red wine with a long, intense finish.
