The Sauvignon DOC Sunnseit 2025 from Weingut Pföstl comes from South Tyrol. The estate is located in Schenna near Merano, where it produces wines from its own vineyards. Sauvignon Blanc is part of the winery’s range; the Sunnseit line is listed commercially as a single-varietal white wine. For this vintage, vinification in stainless steel is stated, followed by six months of ageing on the fine lees. This keeps the wine clear and true to variety, while also giving it more balance and roundness. At the table, this Sauvignon works well with light, fresh cuisine, especially vegetable dishes, fish and mild cheeses. It also suits Mediterranean starters and delicate herb-based dishes, without feeling too heavy. In the glass, it appears as a pale white wine. The aroma recalls gooseberry and elderflower. On the palate, it is aromatic, elegant and harmonious, with clear varietal character and a fresh, linear impression.
