Niklaserhof Sauvignon DOC Doxs 2025 comes from the Vial and Kardatsch vineyard sites near Kaltern. The vineyards lie at around 530 to 570 metres above sea level and are characterised by calcareous gravel soils. The vines are trained using both trellis and pergola systems and are cultivated according to integrated, environmentally conscious farming practices. The wine is made from Sauvignon grapes from different clones and the estate’s own selections. After a cold maceration on the skins, the wine is vinified reductively and then matures for several months on the fine lees. This approach helps preserve aromatic precision and supports the fresh, clear character of the Sauvignon. In the glass, it shows a greenish-yellow colour. The nose combines elderflower, gooseberry, bell pepper and peach with delicate citrus notes. On the palate, it is structured, lively and mineral, while remaining harmonious. The finish is fruit-driven, complex and persistent.
