The Pinot Blanc DOC de Silva 2025 from Peter Sölva is an elegant white wine from South Tyrol, distinguished by its delicate fruit character, pronounced minerality and harmonious structure. The grapes come from Eppan Berg in the Überetsch region, where the vines grow at approximately 500 metres above sea level. Sandy, stony moraine soils shape the distinctive character of this Pinot Blanc. The de Silva range focuses on carefully selected grapes from old, deep-rooted vineyards. Following hand harvesting, the grapes undergo gentle pressing after a short period of skin contact. The must is then kept at low temperatures for several days before temperature-controlled fermentation begins. The wine matures for twelve months on its lees, with 60% aged in wooden barrels and 40% in stainless steel tanks. This maturation process adds depth and an elegant structure. In the glass, it displays a pale straw-yellow colour with greenish reflections. Its delicate bouquet reveals aromas of fresh apples and citrus fruits. On the palate, it is elegant and well-balanced, offering subtle fruit flavours, pleasant freshness and a distinctive mineral note.
