The Recioto della Valpolicella DOCG Classico 2023 by Zeni is a traditional Italian sweet red wine from the historic Valpolicella area, located north of Verona. This refined Passito wine is made from carefully selected indigenous grape varieties – Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella – renowned for their ability to concentrate sugars and aromas during the drying process. Thanks to the traditional, long drying of the grapes and the subsequent interruption of fermentation, the wine retains a naturally high level of residual sugar and intense fruit character, a defining feature of outstanding Recioto wines. In the glass, Recioto displays a bright ruby-red colour, reflecting its concentration and varietal structure. The nose is rich and enveloping, with pronounced aromas of woodland, blackberries and raspberries, complemented by soft notes of ripe fruit. On the palate, the wine is sweet, smooth and velvety, showing a harmonious balance between aromatic richness, gentle acidity and a silky texture that leads to an elegant, long-lasting finish.
