The Pinot Noir Riserva DOC 2023 from Laimburg Provincial Winery comes from Freiberg near Merano. The vineyards are situated on south-west-facing slopes, with soils shaped by primary rock and moraine material. The vines are trained using both trellis and pergola systems, providing the foundation for a distinctive and expressive South Tyrolean Pinot Noir. After vinification, the wine undergoes a total ageing period of 20 months. The Riserva designation reflects a style focused on extended maturation, giving the wine additional depth and structure while preserving the characteristic fruit and elegance of Pinot Noir. In the glass, it shows an intense ruby-red colour. The bouquet is distinctly fruit-driven, with notes reminiscent of blackberry and cherry. On the palate, it is well structured and powerful, with velvety, harmoniously integrated tannins. Fruit, structure and supple texture come together in a balanced, expressive Pinot Noir with an elegant character.
