The Marie 2025 from Fliederhof is an elegant and characterful St. Magdalener Classico from South Tyrol, captivating with its delicate fruit aromas and beautiful harmony. Made predominantly from Vernatsch with a small proportion of Lagrein, this red wine comes from vineyards cultivated with respect for nature in the traditional St. Magdalener growing area above Bolzano. The grapes grow at elevations between 300 and 340 metres across three different vineyard sites. Soils characterised by clay-rich moraine deposits, river gravel and quartz porphyry contribute to the wine's distinctive complexity. Following temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine matures in wooden barrels and stainless steel vessels. Marie takes its name from Maria Ebnicher Ramoser, who took over the estate in 1930. In the glass, it displays a brilliant ruby-red colour. The inviting bouquet combines fruity raspberry notes with a hint of pepper and delicate earthy nuances. On the palate, it delights with juicy freshness, a supple structure and harmonious tannins. An elegant, pleasantly light red wine with a balanced and charming finish.
