The Pinot Grigio DOC 2025 from Taschlerhof is an elegant white wine from South Tyrol's Eisack Valley, distinguished by its delicate fruit character, harmonious structure and pleasant freshness. Winemaker Peter Wachtler places particular emphasis on environmentally conscious vineyard management and careful grape processing. The result is a distinctive Pinot Grigio that reflects the individual style of this historic estate near Brixen. The grapes are harvested in mid-September and subsequently processed with great care. Alcoholic fermentation and maturation take place 70% in stainless steel tanks and 30% in large wooden barrels. This combination preserves the wine's fresh fruit character while adding fullness, balance and a subtle touch of spice. In the glass, it displays a pale straw-yellow colour with delicate greenish reflections. Its elegant bouquet reveals aromas of ripe pear, complemented by a hint of honey and subtle exotic nuances. On the palate, it is fresh and full-bodied, with delicate spice and a harmonious structure. A pleasantly smooth, well-balanced finish completes the tasting experience.
