Pinot Noir Riserva DOC Yura
The Yura Pinot Noir Riserva DOC 2023 from Nals Margreid combines the elegance of Pinot Noir with the distinctive character of its South Tyrolean origins. The grapes come from selected vineyards in the Überetsch area, situated between 350 and 450 metres above sea level. Their south-westerly exposure and limestone-rich, clayey moraine soils of glacial origin provide excellent conditions for producing expressive wines.
The Mediterranean climate, with warm summers, mild winters and the influence of the Ora, a warm wind from Lake Garda, shapes the ripening conditions of the grapes. Following careful hand harvesting and destemming, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with gentle movement of the grape skins. The wine then matures for twelve months in barrique barrels, developing greater structure and complexity.
In the glass, Yura displays a deep, luminous ruby-red colour. Its layered bouquet reveals aromas of redcurrants, raspberries and strawberries, complemented by delicate hints of sage. On the palate, it impresses with a firm yet elegant structure and spicy tannins. Its harmonious balance makes it an excellent companion to veal fillet and refined beef dishes.
