The Radoarhof Riesling IGT Vives 2023 is an elegant organic white wine from Feldthurns in South Tyrol's Eisack Valley. The grapes grow at approximately 830 metres above sea level on soils composed of Brixen quartz phyllite, mica and quartz, covered by a layer of sandy clay. The distinctive high-altitude location and organic cultivation shape the individual character of this Riesling. The grapes are harvested by hand in two separate passes and undergo up to 48 hours of skin contact. Spontaneous fermentation then takes place in large oak barrels, where the wine matures for one year on its fermentation lees. This is followed by another year of ageing on fine lees in stainless steel tanks. The wine is bottled without fining. The bouquet combines aromas of ripe apple, quince, apricot and fresh citrus fruits. On the palate, the Riesling Vives reveals pronounced saline minerality, a creamy texture and vibrant freshness. Notes of apricot and white peach accompany an elegant, lingering finish.
