The Chardonnay Magred Alto Adige DOC 2025 from Nals Margreid is an expressive white wine that beautifully reflects the elegance and diversity of South Tyrol's terroir. Made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes, it comes from selected vineyards surrounding Margreid in the southern part of South Tyrol. The vines grow at altitudes between 220 and 350 metres on deep, humus-rich soils with limestone gravel. Their south-southeast exposure and the Mediterranean climate, influenced by the warm Ora wind, create ideal conditions for developing aromatic grapes. After careful hand harvesting, fermentation takes place in large wooden barrels. The wine then matures on its fine lees for eight months, developing its distinctive structure and elegance. Magred pairs beautifully with seafood, refined fish dishes and Mediterranean specialities. In the glass, it displays an intense straw-yellow colour. Its complex bouquet reveals exotic aromas of pineapple, banana and passion fruit, complemented by delicate hints of aromatic herbs. On the palate, it is fresh and full-bodied, with a creamy texture, harmonious structure and a pleasantly lingering finish.
