The Pinot Blanc DOC Plötzner 2025 from St. Pauls Winery is an elegant South Tyrolean white wine that beautifully reflects the potential of the grape variety in the calcareous vineyard sites around St. Pauls. The grapes come from selected vineyards in Eppan at altitudes between 300 and 550 metres, where warm days and cool nights encourage slow ripening and aromatic precision. The name “Plötzner” refers to a historic vineyard site and represents a particularly expressive, terroir-driven Pinot Blanc within the winery’s range. 


Pinot Blanc is one of South Tyrol’s most important white grape varieties and thrives particularly well in the Überetsch area. Calcareous soils and the region’s Alpine-Mediterranean climate give the wines freshness, elegance and refined minerality. In the Plötzner, the grape variety shows remarkable precision and balance, highlighting finesse and clarity. In the glass, the Plötzner 2025 displays a pale yellow colour with greenish reflections. The nose reveals yellow apple, pear and delicate citrus notes, accompanied by subtle floral nuances. On the palate, the wine is fresh, juicy and elegant, supported by lively acidity, fine minerality and a harmonious, persistent finish.
