The Pinot Blanc 2024 from Ansitz Kränzel is a fresh and elegant organic white wine from Cermes near Merano. Pinot varieties have been cultivated at Kränzelhof for over a century. The vineyards are situated at elevations ranging from 292 to 700 metres, on soils characterised by moraine deposits and granite. These diverse growing conditions provide an excellent foundation for distinctive South Tyrolean white wines. The grapes are carefully harvested by hand and gently pressed as whole bunches. Part of the harvest undergoes cold maceration, while approximately half is fermented on the skins. The wine then matures for twelve months on the fine lees in used oak barriques, developing additional structure and aromatic depth. In the glass, the Pinot Blanc displays a pale golden-yellow colour with greenish reflections. The bouquet reveals aromas of fresh apples, peaches and delicate cherry blossoms. On the palate, it is lively and fruit-driven, with pleasant freshness, refined elegance and an approachable, harmonious character.
