Kerner DOC Aristos 2025 from Eisacktal Winery is part of the prestigious Aristos line, where varietal character is highlighted through careful grape selection, controlled production and extended ageing. This white wine is made from 100% Kerner, a cross between Trollinger and Riesling, offering ideal conditions for aromatic intensity and vibrant freshness. The Eisack Valley is one of Italy’s northernmost and highest wine-growing areas, shaped by marked temperature differences between warm days and cool nights, along with mineral-rich, rather lean soils. These factors encourage slow, even ripening and create a distinctive balance between fruit expression and mineral tension. In the glass, the wine shows a bright straw-yellow colour with subtle greenish reflections, underlining its freshness and clarity. On the nose, it reveals an appealing bouquet with delicate fruit notes of white peach, hints of nutmeg and a touch of citrus, supported by elegant aromatic depth. On the palate, it is dry, full-bodied and lively, driven by refreshing acidity that gives structure, and a fine spicy nuance that adds extra finesse. The Aristos line stands for wines with a strong sense of identity and a clear stylistic signature – and this Kerner is an excellent example: an elegant, aromatic white with solid backbone, great drinkability and versatile food-pairing potential.
